Question 4efte engine conversion subframe

Hello

Within the next week im going to be getting a starlet gt 1.3 turbo and will be putting the engine in my round nose mini, now i am undesided on what rought to go with the subframe. The options i am looking at are either getting the bare suzuki subframe from all speed and modifying it or i could give it a go and try and make one myself.

My questions are

1) Would the suzuki subframe fit the starlet engine with a bit of modification.

2)What is the best option bearing in mind money and time it would take.

Thanks

I built my own subframe to mount my engine , it is a lot of work , more if you have to change the suspension points . I was going to do the same conversion but the cost of a motor and everything else is crazy in new zealand .

I started my conversion in July. I used the suzuki allspeed frame, fits the starlet engine nicely with a bit of modification. Had to move the back lower crossmember up to clear the gearbox and cables. Then weld on extra bits for the engine mounts. It can't post pictures yet but here is the link to my thread on turbo minis

Also doing the 4efte engine conversion, this is first mini project I've attempted its for a friend so I joined this forum for advice of any kind,

Car specs will include a deep green respray with carbon trim,

Metro 4 Pots

A removable Front ?

Coilover Suspension

EPAS steering

Trying to keep it simple and doing all the work I will start a Build thread but only when the project gets underway,
