The car is in pieces at the mo so nothing of any use I can take now but this is the only pic I can find that shows them.

Watsons built my car and did the work, they have just been physically bent around the pedela, not cut and welded

Nice one matey thank you! So basically the same as what I have done. I was gonna bent the original pedal, but thought it would obviously ďalter the lengthĒ of it if I added a bend. (Hope that makes sense?), thatís why I cut and welded in some 8mm plate, that way the pedal is exactly sane position/stroke as it was, but with the clearance!!

Itís super hot in the garage today.....I might get our there one eve over Easter and finish the column......then thatís another job jobbed

Column mounted, bang in centre of seating position, good height, depth etc. Chuffed with it.

The bolt is temporary, and it is only spot welded (had to rush out half way thru), but itís in, solid and working!

I have a removable boss, and a bananasty steering wheel. I will get a new one after the strip down and rebuild commences.

Had half a day today guys....

Welded in all the closing plates underneath, like ends of the cross member, sill ends, bits like that. Then put the whole car back together tight! Will swap engine before it goes for wiring. Iíve decided that Iím gonna get it running and driving then completely strip it down to finish it. Just in case I have to cut and weld more bits! Would be a shame to do it after itís painted and powder coated etc!

Welded in some captive nuts for the water pipes to bolt to, need to get some spacers machined, at mo just using 2xm12 nuts. Cut the pipes down a little, and made up the front hoses, really chuffed. Hopefully tank should be here soon, I can then make brackets for that and fuel pump/swirl pot. Then make a funky battery tray with my home made folder and bead roller/dimple dies haha

Made from scrap, and the square was just some pineapple I had laying about to try bending!!!

Need to pull my finger out as just bought. Mk2 escort as well

The rate at which you work is just insane. Loving this build.

Don't forget to put the MK2 build up in the "Other projects" section, we all love a project

Cheers for the comments guys!!

Had a couple hours tonight, so got on the bead roller!!! Iím rather impressed with myself......

The bulk head is slowly but surely coming to! I will have like an access panel to get to the turbo and bits around it. I think for most of the work the lump will need to be dropped out anyway. Only a 20min job haha.

Hopefully get some more bulkhead done and little bits n bobs this week
