It appears that the bolt holding the cam belt wheel onto the inlet camshaft had worked loose and allowed the belt wheel to rotate a couple of degrees either way but luckily enough not enough for the valves to make contact with the piston.The engine was a little smokey on acceleration and burnt a little oil when driven hard and I have decided to recondition the bottom end.It is already running 0.25 plus pistons and my local Suzuki dealer can get 0.50 but is there any other options on piston size out there and what are people running.
