Grip would be good for a short distance and then the blocks would likely overheat and at this point there's not much grip to be had. Un-cut wets are good though ....... I got some cheap off BMTR back in the days when we were playing at the MSA events.

If you have very deep pockets then sticky Avons with a big footprint (at least 8" wide) at the rear of your RWD machine then narrow & sticky up front for less rolling resistance.

As Bill suggests R888's are very good trackday tyres, but they're probably better suited to a heavier car than yours.
