Glad you got the V5 updated in the end with the correct CC and Tax Class. At least you only have this 12 months and next year it becomes Tax (and MOT) exempt!

I bought mems diag, which worked with mems1.9 and mems1.6, but when i fitted the mems2 vvc engine it no longer worked. Needs to be a Lucas ACR to read mems2, or rover testbook.

This is a good call, from memory the rod is hollow so inserting a rod or bolt into the hollow cavity and plug welding it either end before seam welding the chamfer would be a good repair. I never did...
