I have cut 3" off leg due to my Websto sunroof.

I'm running same Mini Sports 4 pots. When I did test run it felt weak also.
Not sure I would add servo myself but you can buy one off ebay...

You will need to get timing light and connect to no1 cylinder with power from your battery.
Then start engine, shine your timing light to your crankshaft...

I think it will be about £200.
Boggs Brothers do inlet manifold for G13B. I got my cylinder head modified and special 45 degree head with individual inlets made to fit carbs.

I have 1 for mk2 Gti and mk1 Gti. If you have mk1 Gti dizzy, ypu won't need ECU. You can tun R1 carbs then.

Gti rear disc brake will go on but you will need to make a sleeve.
Or make your own radius arm like I did.

BMW K-100 has nice size and easy to modify to G13B spacing of 84mm.
They are also just throttle body and use OEM injectors for your setup and it should work nice.

Cylinder head is different, camshafts & inlet manifold.
As you say it has mk1 ph1 combined TPS and MAF. So may be it is mk2 engine but that will be still good as you will have 105PS instead of 97PS....

If it was separate then it will be Mk1 Ph2 which was only produced for 10 months before move into mk2 ph1. They are actually 105PS not 97PS.
