Having a small tilt in the rad would be better than having the rad dead straight. When the ran is tilted, the air would hit more area on the fins and allow better cooling.

I used a wilwood master with the wilwood pedals and the standard honda slave on the transmission. Have no issues and it feels good even with the race clutch in it.

Getting a proper alignment does wonders. I also noticed that at lower speeds (and also that I have 13 inch wheels) the my mini will "track a bit"...
