I would expect most of the good brand pistons can pull off that RPM (maybe even stock ones if they are forged), will be the rods\crank that's struggling most at those levels of RPM.

Indeed, during the massive rebuild i'm going to try and get a remote type servo that's physically linked installed instead even if it compromises on space in the passenger footwell a bit.

The problem is that even cutting a small hole for the gearbox connector shaft or drilling some extra holes for shifter cables, tubbing the arches means an IVA as the 5 points means totally original...
