IIRC the SBD TBs come straight out the head so...

IIRC the SBD TBs come straight out the head so unless you are doing bulkhead mods then no they won't fit. Rob Hall at Allspeed did use a set on his first X16 demo car but made a one-off 90 degree...

If it were me I'd stick with the MX5 calipers an just fit decent discs (EBC grooved and dimpled is my preference as cross-drilling can lead to cracking) and some decent pads.

I doubt you actually need uprated brakes at the rear as a Mini needs very little rear braking so you'd be taking all that extra efficiency and restricting it right down with the bias/limiter valve.

No, not just you. The Attach Picture option doesn't work. The few on this post that are blue attachment hyperlinks (posts 3, 4 & 7) will work if you click on them but the rest don't.

I think as far as off the shelf ratios/boxes go, the Diesel Vauxhall boxes seem to be ok.

Also using the R65 box from a Metro with a Rover K-series is also about right.

That's great news regarding the diesel box fitting and confirms my thoughts from years ago when I compared various pics and felt the bolt patterns between the K20 and the Diesel lumps were the same :D
