i flared the pipe by using a bolt held in a vice...

i flared the pipe by using a bolt held in a vice then put the pipe over it and sort of levered it to push a lump out and worked it around, then a small hammer to tidy it up

I used to have the mini linkage on my pg1 box and found it difficult to use, there was very little side to side movement which made finding gears difficult and you had to really push hard to the side...

If you can not use a spacer and keep the track width as narrow as possible (i.e less offset) it will handle better and torque steer less so be easier to control.
